4. RFQs, Forms, Drawings, And Uploaded Files

Submitting an RFQ, drawing, file, or message does not create a contract, purchase order, quote obligation, supplier relationship, confidentiality obligation, or manufacturing commitment. Advantech must review the submission before deciding whether to respond, quote, request more information, decline, or proceed.

RFQ Submissions Should Include:

• Accurate drawings, models, prints, and revision information.
• Material requirements, quantities, tolerance expectations, finishing needs, and delivery goals.
• Any applicable NDA, export control, ITAR, defense, customer flow down, or government contract requirements.
• Contact information for the person authorized to discuss the project.

5. Confidentiality, NDAs, And Sensitive Technical Information

Advantech understands that drawings, specifications, models, and project information may include sensitive business or technical details. However, information submitted through the website is not automatically subject to a non-disclosure agreement unless Advantech has signed or otherwise accepted a written confidentiality agreement that applies to that information.

Suppliers must review and understand all applicable purchase order requirements, quality requirements, supplier flow downs, government contract clauses, and Terms & Conditions before accepting or fulfilling orders.

Advantech may operate in accordance with FAR, DFARS, customer-specific clauses, quality requirements, defense-related requirements, and other contract obligations. Suppliers are responsible for understanding the requirements that apply to their work and for flowing those requirements to their own sub-tier suppliers when required.

Supplier resources may be available on the Suppliers page. Those documents may include purchase terms, supplier flow down requirements, questionnaires, and other materials. Suppliers should review the most current documents before performing work.

Supplier Responsibilities May Include:

• Maintaining required quality systems, records, certifications, and inspection documentation.
• Complying with applicable purchase order terms, drawings, specifications, and revision controls.
• Protecting customer, defense, export-controlled, proprietary, or sensitive information.
• Meeting delivery, packaging, identification, traceability, and documentation requirements.
• Flowing applicable requirements to sub-tier suppliers when required.

7. Export Controls, ITAR, Defense Work, And Government Contract Requirements

Advantech supports high-profile and defense-related manufacturing work. Because of that, some projects may involve export control laws, ITAR requirements, DFARS clauses, FAR clauses, customer flow downs, cybersecurity expectations, controlled technical information, or other government contract obligations.

Users must not submit, transfer, disclose, upload, or request controlled technical data through the website unless they are authorized to do so and the submission complies with all applicable laws, regulations, contracts, and customer requirements.

Suppliers, customers, and website users are responsible for identifying any export-controlled, defense-related, government contract, restricted, or controlled technical information before it is submitted to Advantech.
